What order are the expansions story-wise?
I got Dark Crusade, SoulStorm and Winter Assault in a Humble Bundle and I'd like to play them in chronological order in terms of story.

yeah how i know the order is not only because i played all of them you can also tell because each edition adds a faction or two the Original started with only 4 playable factions Space Marines,Eldar,Orks and Chaos. Winter Assault adds the Imperial Guard which will make 5 playable factions. Dark Crusade adds the Necrons and the Tau making 7 playable factions. SoulStorm adds the Sisters of Battle and the Dark Eldar which makes 9 playable factions.

Well I just finished the original and was like "Well... ♥♥♥♥, the expansions are listed in alphabetical order in my library" so now I'm installing Winter Assault since you say its the next one.

yeah it is cause in Dark Crusade it makes references to Winter Assault or the Original for certain factions during the Campaign references you likely wouldn't of gotten or would of been confused about cause you didn't play Winter Assault.

Technically, Winter Assault has nothing to do with the greater Blood Ravens story lines. DAW is first followed by Dark Crusade and Soulstorm. Only thing though is that when you play DAW 2 the ultimate outcome, from Soulstorm, is that it is a complete failure and major setback for the chapter. Indrick Boreale is the chapter commander for that game and he ultimately dies in the story. However in terms of their releases, it is DAW, WA, DC, SS, DAW2, ROC, and then lastly the Inquisition finally that appoints Angelos as chapter master since the current chapter master is a chaos traitor. Believe me DAW2, while smaller than DAW in terms of gameplay, does have a fantastic story.
