Zoom Out Further
Here ya go:
https://www.moddb.com/games/dawn-of-war-soulstorm/addons/camera-mod-for-dow

This will allow you to zoom out much further on the battlefield.

Extract the .lua files and drop 'em in the W40k Data folder.
(Example path) SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Dawn of War Gold\W40k\Data

Doesn't get rid of Fog-of-War. Should work with all expansions.

I tried some zoom mod but it left me wanting; it makes little sense without a mod that would simultaneously dispatch some fog of war, while playing like this, rises question of balance?

Yeah, this makes the game play so much better. Don't know why Relic didn't do this in the first place.

Hi guys, I tried it and it did not work. Game is pretty much unplayable at the standard close zoom imho.
Note: I tried dropping the individual lua files in different drop points suggested (engine/data, dxp2/data and wh40k/data). Dropping and also Test-Modifying the data in them did not result in any change.

Ideas?

The three files go into engine/data for the base game and WA, for the other standalone games you put them in DXP2/data.

If this still doesn't work then there has to be another issue.

Just a note from someone who's run into the scripts not working issue -- if you are running mods that require you to select them in the 'game manager' of the main menu - you need to add the camera files to the data section of that mod in particular. If not, the camera will still be default when you run those mods.

Does this work for all the expansions too, currently finding Soulstorm unplayable and headache causing with the zoom and clutter onscreen
