Hubie's Quest bugged?

Hi, I am having an issue with Hubie's quest the orphan. I have taken him to his required encounter exploding doodads many times but never get the quest dialogue, just the standard for the card. Am I missing something here or is this bugging out?

Weird, I think I completed it within the past month and it worked for me. Are you taking him to the lovers encounter or to the normal encounter you include in your deck?

The lovers does not allow you to have a companion so just the normal encounter.

Ah, forgot about that. Just to be sure Hubie has a token on his card and the clue given is "A bomb specialist"?

Hm, not sure then, sounds like you're doing everything you're supposed to. I tried looking and seeing if anybody else had this problem but couldn't find any threads of it. There's a community manager who will see this eventually I'm sure, maybe they have an idea of what to do.

Best I can suggest are very general fixes: verify the integrity of your install or reinstall the entire game (it's not too big anyway). Turn off any mods. If you're on Linux or Mac maybe try running it on a windows? (obviously a pain)

Sorry I couldn't be of more use, the Hubie story is very cute so it sucks to miss.

Hi hi. Sorry to hear you're having trouble. I don't have anything to add at the moment, but switching operating systems probably won't help.

Having a quick double check of the card logic, the condition for Hubie's branch on Exploding Doodads requires companion enabled (can't be out of action/incapacitated), companion is Hubie, and you must have progressed Hubie's quest to a point where you need to visit it.

Unless you've used his companion ability or had something else disable him, it sounds like you have all those conditions met - any chance that's the case?

Hi, Thank You so much for responding. I think I have met the requirements for this however just noticed Hubie's character card does NOT have a token, but has the correct tip listed 'bomb specialist'. Is there something I need to do between completing World Ending Wyrm and this one to add the token to Hubie's card? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Also no, Hubie is not in any way deactivated.

So far as I can recall, we don't have any known issues with Hubie's chain.

Just to follow up here, I took a closer look at this today, and it seems like the profile itself is in an odd state - Hubie's companion card should have a token on it at this point, but doesn't. Unfortunately, I haven't had any luck repairing the profile so far.
