I think i am on the last mission now. where im gonna plant a detonator or summon a demoneater. What i wonder by that construct. Can my char do it faster if he has high gathering?

Wondering the same, doing a tough play through and can't get beyond the half way point when working on the final object, was also thinking maybe a high ritual skill as the objects are normally associated with that skill? Did you ever test out scavenge having an effect?
Didnt really notice any difference. But it is doable. But you will prob need a couple of tries and healing

didnt noticed any difference.. however when a defence-wave spawns you can use the "worker" for combat and return to the objective if its completed, you wont loose the progress like you do with the rescue-cages.

Not sure about the antimatter choice, but the summoning went considerably faster when I used someone with a high Ritual/Occult Research speed. I'm assuming it was the Ritual speed that counted, but I'm not completely certain.

In that case, I would suspect that one of your techy survivors good at Crafting/Research would set up the Anitmatter device more quickly.

Used a character with a high ritual skill (160%) and breezed through it, only had two attacks during the whole thing and hardly took a scratch.

Charmed play through I think as randomly got Theon as my second rescued survivor.

Thanks for your input, was a great help, nice to clear it on tough difficulty.

i know this is necro, but the game doesn't have many sales so the discussions aren't very active... i just bought the game and played it for the first time.

i finished the occult victory by summoned the demon eater with a survivor that had 100% ritual skill. it was pretty fast. there was about 3 attacks. i had one person die at the very end because i stopped paying attention. i did clear the entire map of enemies before starting the objective on this one. maybe that is why it was fast?

now i have to go back and try the scientist victory with more difficult terrain. not sure if scavenger (theon) or science research helps speed it up... but the progress is much much slower. (maybe i need to kill all enemies on the map before doing the objective! - like the rescue missions) but idk.

and it proves to be more difficult because buildings there block your view of incoming enemies, and make it so the guy doing the objective is vulnerable to a flank when your other survivors push one side to kill a wave from one side, while another wave comes from the other. enemy snipers eat your team up quick due to this obstacle. your team can't be efficient kills when theyre running back and forth and have no cover or advantage.

edit: i had 1 minigun, 1 sniper, 2 rifles, and 3 beam tech rifles. the regular rifles were high dps because of extra damage and attack speed skills, beam had more range and solid damage. sniper was long range but not much damage, and the minigun was super high damage but was very short range...

i'm not sure if more snipers will help with the buildings blocking most of the enemy approach. enemy snipers have the advantage.

I could see swapping the minigun for another sniper, but I'd be reluctant to give up the beam cannons. I thought a high scavenging skill sped things up during the tech conclusion - but it's been a while.

Are you using the 50 cal, or the guided sniper rifle? I think simultaneous shots from two 50 cals should be enough to take out an enemy sniper.

Is there still no option to see game statistics at the end (how many monsters killed etc), since you cannot abandon your base anymore?

Beaten last mission on Tough difficulty (both science and occult victory), here's my tips:

- Do not fight enemies unless you have to. Save health/heals for final waves. With some sneaky pathing, it's possible to reach final objective by fighting only 4 groups of static guards (good RNG is needed to avoid patrolling groups).
- Have a good healing (Surgeon Kit (or several) is ideal, also Filed Medic skill helps a lot since it doesn't take an equipment slot).
- For Occult victory, use survivor with high Ritual skill (with 160% Ritual faced only 2 waves)
- For Science victory, it seems it's not affected by any skill, however, Divine Inspiration ritual (+100% work speed) seems to speed it up. Also, DO NOT interrupt a survivor, this will significantly reset progress. Faced only 3 waves with such setup.
