Call of Duty: Black Ops III – Mod Tools

Any way to recover a map?
Something goofed while I was saving my map in radiant and it crashed half way through it. It apparently destroyed my map and it crashes compiling and Radiant just open a new map template when I try to load it up. However, I can still load up my map from a previous version when I launch it in game. Is there anyway I can find the previous version in the files and replace my corrupted one?

Usually there is a backup in map_source folder. Check if it's in there. If not - you're out of luck, as there is no way to recover the lost map file. Compiled maps can't be "decompiled" back.

I figured the game has to load the mods from somewhere and it can't be possible to load up my corrupted one which is data from several hours before it had gone up in flames. I did however find the .bak .lin and .map files but I don't know exactly what to do with those. Any ideas? Appreciate the help though.

.lin file contains leaked map coordinates (the holes in your map, you should fix them).
.bak file is just .map file with different extension. Rename it and you should be good to go.

Look in "Root\radiant\autosave_backup"
