Chara Folder is gone, how do I recover it?

When i open up my data folder all that's in it are ui and sound. The chara folder is gone and no where to be found within the XV2 directory.

i.e HUM, HUF, MAJ, etc.

download "yace" from eternity http://animegamemods.net/thread/701/tools-eternity and extract the application from the zip folder. go to your dragon ball xenoverse 2 directory open the "cpk" folder and drag data.cpk to "yace" and it will extract everything including crara folder. this prosses may take a long time.

there is a faster way by installing lazybone by using the lazybone "New Transformations Installer.exe" and you will get the chara folder and more.

I haven't played XV2 in awhile but I had updated the patcher and xv2ins only to have the character select screen look like it's been decoded or missing alot of the ui elements. Did some sort of update forcefully remove the character folder? is that why the chara select menu is so messed up in-game?

Also after updating the patcher and xv2ins. I get an error saying that the inisystemfiles(bool,bool): cannot load cml when trying to open the xv2ins.exe app.

I know your problem delete XV2P_SLOTS.x2s in the directory of your data folder or your xenoverse 2 mod installer. then launch the installer again and it should be fixed with the character selection and ui. one more thing if that doesn't work do you have a folder named "chara" in your data folder in the xenoverse 2 directory?

and if all else fails the install https://xenoversemods.com/mods/new-transformations-added-skills/ just run the installer chose what you want can be all vanilla settings and the installer will put the files that are missing in your data folder automatically.

Alright, I was able to troubleshoot a few min after I posted that reply yesterday. I had moved the entire data folder after using yace from the cpk file to the data file in the directory, but that was when that error began popping up so I took everything out except the chara folder. Reinstalled New Trans 3.06 and now the data folder has been properly fixed.

Now the game launches fine now through the exe in the bin folder but once the game loads Conton City the screen remains white until I press start to access the menu then I can suddenly see the game and I'm dealing with 'missing' clothes. When scrolling through everything, all the DLC clothes suddenly aren't showing up and instead just appears as the default underwear.

These are the last two things I'm trying to troubleshoot now that everything else seems to be working again.

I had that exact same problem, but I fixed it. what you will need to do is extract the cpk data file that is 4GB and open chara form the cpk file go to all the cac files such as HUM and HUF. and copy HUM.bcs or any .bcs you can find from the cac files and paste them to your modded data folder in the chara and into your cac files. And that should fix the new problem.

Ok, the clothes are back but I'm still getting the white screen after choosing one of my characters and not going away til i press start, as well when finishing a quest and such. Also forgot how to fix the issue with New Trans and hair not changing to a different hair style or turning blue/rose. Fixing the clothing issue messed up the hair change/color.

Have you tried verifying the integrity of the game cache? I understand this causes the game to re-download unmodified versions of its original files, which can help if you suddenly find some missing.
