I paid for early access to the game and promise that it will be finished in the future.
Now they are extending "future" for who knows how long, propably forever.
Initial sales were not bad, it's lack of development killed the playerbase, and eventually the game.
9 month's worth of PTU stuff delivered to live server bringed peak concurrent players to like what, 700? That's a joke... And these numbers already started dropping.
Don't forget to add that this is the second time they pulled the stunt called "abandonware" in EA - see Boreal Blade.
Just seems like a ship building and NOTHING to do with STAR BASES
I highly supported the team, followed all the way through CA-----
Then it went Early Access... they took there £30 from everyone and complacently started to change the direction of the game from what it initially looked like it was in CA...
They then "hired" a bunch of staff to stamp anyone out that decided to talk about what the issues were within the game be it here on these forums or on there official discord, you leave on negative comment a whole swarm of people jump on you with a bunch of excuses as to why its this way or that..
The Devs even started to ban people from the game for "negative" behavior outside of the game its self.....crazy behavior.
We as people tried to talk to these Devs, help in the direction of there game but your met with a few people who say "we dont care people will come back and play" and "funding is no issue" but they simply carried on with no real direction. just randomly adding "stuff" without content.
Then they say "no one brought our game because of the bad reviews" well thats what happens if you dont listen to your customers...you get bad feedback,
so now we get to the point were these so called "DEVS" cannot be bothered to continue and or have no funds to continue and will turn off the servers off a game we cannot even play at all from that point....
i may as well have burned my 30 bucks.....
look at some EA games that have been supported for nearly 10 years......
This barely made a year...
I will never support Frozenbyte as a company i think there blame the customer attitude sucks nearly as bad as there coding skills.
Also this one game did have a strange phenomenon of every single person who decided to defend this game was some how a "game dev" or a "coder" and no one else knew anything....LMAO look at your game "coders"...
I loved the idea and the concept but sadly the makers of 2d side scrolling games did not have the skill or knowledge to pull this one off... now will dump the server make another pos game and expect all to buy it...
This will not be me or anyone that was part of our 200 people company on launch day.
(notice how i didn't even list any issues of the game itself i would not have enough room how ever not being able to build a starbase without all your stuff floating away or vanishing is kinda a big one :D)
Ships exploding for no reason, we had a rotor bug out and someone got flung at least 30,000 km in 10 seconds.
Hours, HOURS of afk flight time like 6+ to get to high tier ore. Who the hell has that kind of time we all have jobs and families. We want to be able to build our ships, mine, and fight. not be AFK logged into the servers so they can say hey investors we have X amount of players give us more spendy bucks.
This was a super ambitious title and I think all of us wanted to succeed.
idk maybe they pulled a bunch of devs off and the average player count is 100 people.
Get off your horse white night I would love to be proved wrong this is not out of hate it is hurt I wanted this game to work, but it is a huge failure currently.
100 people...100 people that is all they can muster. You can stick your head in the sand, but unless something major changes this game is going to stay dead.
Again I hope I am proved wrong only time will tell, I waited 7 months and they had made haphazard progress.
