There is a thread already talking about Bane and Elana healing.
Here they specify why bane is intended to destroy with zero attack:
https://twitter.com/shadowversegame/status/776133444828999680?lang=en
"Followers with Bane destroy everything they touch"
Here is the elana's prayer card
https://shadowverse.gamepress.gg/card/elanas-prayer
"Whenever your leader's defense is restored, give +1/+1 to all allied followers. "
Restored means
1 give back, return
2 to put or bring back into existence or use
3 to bring back to or put back into a former or original state/renew
4 to put again in possession of something
Thus, you could technically argue that when you heal at full health, you get 0 health back. This one is more ambigious, but its effect will still buff if you heal for zero so we can assume it is a feature.
I hope we can end this chain of why does so and so work like this. Most of the time the developers know what is happening long before you do and decide to leave it that way.
Bane is a curse.
Elana is a group hug.
Banish f*cking disintegrates your sh*t so nothing's left to conduct necromancy with.
That doesnt mean its a good solution, thats why im here to discuss such things.
I think its in the mind of the developers that things are clear and less confusing as it can be.
For example:
A new player like me looks at bats and thier synergies and tries the same with ghosts and is wondering why it doesnt work.
It would make a lot more sense for shadowcraft if the goest simply die at the end of turn and not get banished.
Same for 0 Dmg, of course followers with no damage should be able to attack. But if no damage is dealt there is no damage dealt, period.
If they want to do things like that they need to rethink the keywords. "Damage dealt" should be "attacked" or "healing" should be "using heal".
This way things are clear
For restore, think of you being healed but the system is like "I'll count that as a heal but I can't you get past the 20 max hp mark" or in other words, You are over healed that the heal doesn't seem to be healing XD XD
For ghosts, read its text and what Banish Does....
Elana's description in the original states "whenever your leader is receiving heal..." or "...using heal...". Check
Your right, i missed that.
Its so counter intuitive for me, i just didnt saw it.
