I have no idea what I am doing...
Does anyone else really struggle with the layout of this game? Its super organized and to the point, but it is just really hard to start playing this game for me. I thought it would be super fun and I still imagine it being really cool. I played through the tutorial but the game still feels very weird to me. Maybe think about adding some sort of guide for newer players when a new park is created. Like tell me exactly what I need to do to get all aspects of a basic park completed, and then send me on my way. The tutorial was helpful, but it wasn't my park. Does playing through the campaign help? Maybe even provide an option to "automatically build cheapest solution" to certain issues such as stocking and maintennce. If anyone just has eny general advice for a new player that REALLY wants to like this game I would appreciate it.

It certainly throws you into the cold water a bit and there are some smaller things you'll have to discover on your own, but the basic parts that you really need are what's covered in the tutorial: build rides to attract and entertain guests, build shops to feed them, and hire staff to keep everything running.

The first real campaign level after the tutorial is a very easy landscape with plenty of money to experiment with and some easy goals. If you're still struggling after that or have some specific questions please post an update, maybe there's something we can improve :)

I'd suggest to watch a few YouTube videos, my personal recommendation is the Geekism channel.

He's playing the campaign and I'd suggest to do that as well. It's a bit overwhelming if you start playing sandbox mode right from the start I think. Just look how he is building a few coasters, shops, decoration. Then you probably get the idea on how to start.

Also, head over to the Guides section and go through the "Random things to get you started" guide.

The game provides excellent feedback on where things are going wrong so you can make a bunch of mistakes but then get helpful warnings about various issues to alert you to where things aren't running smoothly as the guests come in and discover their needs aren't met.

If you put down a few rides and do nothing else then at some point in the future you'll get guest complaints about being hungry/thirsty, the paths being dirty, the shops being out of stock, rides breaking down, staff lacking a staffroom, no toilets, no access to rides or vandals in the park.

Just put down a couple of rides, watch the people wander about your park, enjoy the scenery and wait for problems to pop up. You don't have to preemptively solve the problems in the first few scenarios.

creativity is established in cold water by initially copying others for inspiration.

go on youtube and look at other parks and coasters, start small by copying aspects you like and putting them together little by little.

this process will help you develop creativity and understand the menus more little by little.

apply this process to anything new and overwhelming in any way, and you will eventually learn to be more creative and bold in your own concepts.
