How to draw more visitors in your park ?
The question is in the title. Is it solely based on ratings or is there something else to it ? Because I really struggle to reach the special goals in very early parks despite having my ratings super high at all time.

Also in the same early parks I often suffer from a lack of high intensity rides but the game won't let me build almost any and I can't really afford the luxury to do a mlilion of research either. Any tip there ?

Coasters tend to be the easiest to get to a high intensity, build one with high but not too high G forces things like steep high drops that build up speed etc. Advertising also helps get people into the park, if you can't afford it for the whole park you can do one for just your best ride. Thrill rides tend to just have medium intensity so your best bet is coasters.

I haven't thought of marketing. I'll try that thank you!

Usually taking up many loans and building as many rides as possible seems to attract people in herds for me

Marketing tends to have minimal effect in my experience.

I realized that I underestimated the impact of one random vandal who ruined a few things in my park lowering the cleanliness rating quite a lot.

I'll try again the same park being more careful about that, and mostly being more careful about not having too long roads hard to cover by my workers.

I'm really not a fan of the time limit of each challenge so far. I really wish it wasn't there it's just stressful. I guess I'm not forced to do all the challenges but it feels wrong to just ignore them too.

Amount of rides seem to be the driving factor. If you build a new thrill ride it feels like its like +50-60 visitors and then it stays that way. Sometimes it takes a really long time for people to show up after 300 making some of the extra goals almost impossible to reach.

Hmm that's why the time challenges are always optional. The devs really cannot please everyone it seems. Half the people complain that the time goals can be ignored and other half complain about them being there at all!

I mean they're OPTIONAL. So go ahead and ignore them please!

Its basically a mixture of number of rides (rollercoaster count most!) and Park rating. It seems you have kind of a "base number" of guests which depends on the size of your park (aka: number of rides) and then a multiplier is applied for the park rating. If you need short term increase of guests to reach certain goals you can run advertisement campaigns.

They are optional but still there counted as the 100% success.

It's like saying it's optional to get all stars in Super Mario 64.

Also optional or not the objective stays the same, I'd still like to know how to have as much guests as possible in my park and know what I'm doing wrong when I'm being wrong. Because I still need X guests at a time.

As I said if you need X guests at a certain time run an advertisement campaign for your park. (expensive!)
