Why can't I zoom right out? It's so closely zoomed and when you pull out as far as it lets you, the sound goes and music plays.... why? I want to play more zoomed out, I feel lost in the park, which is odd for a management game.

If you are new to the game, I think it is just something that requires some getting used to. The zoom has been tweak recently, but I personally rarely zoom out all the way as the game takes place on a closer level and I like to see what actually happens. But I'm not you, and play differently. Either way, it is what it is I'm afraid. The devs probably have to limit the zoom for performace reasons. You can always open the list of all your attractions and facilities and click on the camera to warp to that particular location.

You are not alone. I also expected the game to zoom out to a greater distance to see the whole park. I think its fun just watching the whole park function from a great height; it's satisfying. I dont know how else to describe it.

Can you please share a screenshot of your maximum zoom level? Maybe it's a bug since it should be fairly far out.

Hmm yeah, that's a bit short for this screen resolution. I'll look into increasing it a bit.

Thanx for the game btw, I think it's much better than Planet Coaster and it feels like the natural progression of RCT. My only problems are obvious ones like more content, more complexity with the management side of the game, and the lack of zoom.

Has this been fixed or adjusted?? It drives me nuts not being able to zoom out far enough. I can't even fit an entire larger coaster on the screen! I want to be able to zoom out and see the entire map. I want to plan ahead and see where I'm going and what I want to do. I can't do that at all on this game. It's one of the things that really bothers me.

The Zoom thing seems a little problematic. Is there a mini-map to help with navigation? I find this feature quite useful in other games where it is not possible to see the big picture using zoom.

I don't remember seeing a minimap. My park has gotten big enough to where I don't want to even play anymore because I can't zoom out and get the whole picture. It's not even that big even, I'm just starting to do the larger coasters but they take up the entire screen. I want to plan ahead but feel I can't do that without the zoom being fixed, I feel like I'm half plunking them down blind and hoping for the best. One of the biggest selling points of these games are the laying out and designing aspects of it, but I feel it's handicapped because of the zoom problem.

I almost didn't buy this game because in all the screenshots on here the parks look really really small and boring. I couldn't figure out why. I wonder if people just stop playing after a certain size because of the zoom problem. I was really pleasantly suprised when I started playing at how large the maps are. I can make a huge park. Then that was crapped on when I realized how bad the zoom sucks and hinders you.

This game is really awesome though, they did a fantastic job, mostly feels really polished. And the maps are nice and big! But the zoom needs to be fixed ASAP. That needs to be a priority.

I had trouble with this too, but I did something that helped. I went into the settings and changed the zoom in/out key to I (in) and O (out). I can’t zoom all the way out, but I can zoom out much farther than the picture shared

Install the Perspective Camera Mod from the workshop, that should fix all your camera issues. My favorite feature: Middle mouse button to pan around.

That looks perfect, but how the flip do you install it?? I can't even see a download or instructions or anything. I never understood why steam doesn't just make it easier to install mods, they should all just be one click and you're done. I've litterally not touched this game again because of the zoom problem. Now I'd love to be able to play again and finish my park with that.

*edit* well I clicked every button on the page and it must have added it in game. Except I'm getting an error message box at the game menu and it doesn't seem to work :(

*edit 2* I restarted and it works. Man that is so much awesomer. But holy crud it barely runs with the size of my park. No wonder they don't want you to zoom out more. It's insanely slow at times. Turn off rain that helps a ton. I don't think I can play at all with this, the game is so badly optimized I guess so that is why they don't want you to zoom out. Also all the noises and sounds play at once. That will drive you nuts. I love how it looks but this game needs to run smooth when it zooms out or you look around. It's so cool with the this mod though. I think I'm done with this game until this all gets resolved.
