Signal Ghost v1 is live.

This is the official launch of Signal Drift's in-game character AI layer: the voices behind IRC, private DMs, mission fallout, rumors, threats, debriefs, and the strange little messages that make SignalOS feel occupied.

Signal Ghost is not a separate chatbot bolted onto the game. It is built into the fiction. Characters remember more of your history, react more naturally to repeated questions, and shift tone based on trust, pressure, current jobs, and what has happened in your run.

What's new

- Persistent local Signal Ghost runner: the AI stays warm in the background.

- Stronger character voices: Juno, Liana, Acid, Handler, Broker, Counsel, Nullwitness, Ringleader, Market Maker, and Ops Director now have sharper individual behavior.

- More open conversation: DMs and channels are less guarded, including during missions, so you can ask for help, push boundaries, joke, prod, accuse, flirt, or waste time and get human responses.

- Relationship context: rapport, shared history, trust, suspicion, and downtime conversations now matter more.

- Better public IRC: channels can now feel more like rooms with cross-talk, rumors, sarcasm, market chatter, and pressure from people who may not be on your side.

- Mission-aware fallout: job completions, messy choices, evidence, heat, and betrayals can echo back through conversations without turning the chat into a checklist.

- Bundled local model: Signal Ghost runs from the game package. No external chat service is required.

Signal Drift is still a command-centric hacking thriller first: hosts, logs, evidence, markets, terminals, records, and bad decisions. Signal Ghost is there to make the people around those systems feel more dangerous, more personal, and less static.

This build also includes recent Hacking Sim Core improvements: more flexible command recognition, better host and file realism, smoother objective handling, cleaner navigation, and more forgiving mission discovery.
