I've been seeing people defend this too much, so I'm going to clearly lay out the arguments without a shred of ambiguity in this thread: The major argument that I see in defense of this feature is "just don't use it" or "only idiots use it." The problem is that this isn't actually an argument. If there's a feature in the game that isn't meant to be used. why is it in the game? If your only response is "you can choose not to use it", you're essentially admitting that it doesn't actually make the game better...
