Tutorial stage 2, mobile wash plant, etc.

Hello-
I'm in the tutorial stage 2, when I've bought a bunch of stuff and a mobile wash plant, and driven it all to the parcel. I've unhooked the mobile wash plant, placed down the small water pump and hooked up a fat hose to the "in" side.

It said to throw the end of the fat hose toward the river, so I did. Actually the hose end is now in the river.

Then it said "take fat water hose connector." So I used "E" to pick it up, but it doesn't say what to do next. Any hints would be appreciated.
