The devs are always trying to improve the dozer (ignore the guy above he is on a trolling spree and walking a thin line).
They have adjusted how the dozer levels the ground under the tracks. I am sure the dozer will be looked into once again after the updates that are due.
The dozer is useful but takes some time to work out how to use correctly as you can infact level surfaces and even make ramps but like i said, it's not just a get in and wa-la it's done, you actually have to put some time into it to learn it.
You will also learn how to use it to create or destroy dirt matter when you want to.
But even with all of that as Pwnocchio has said. Once you figure it out. It becomes a tool. A tool your going to need for doing more then a couple holes on the claim. Its ability to smooth out the claim to allow you to quickly drive your equipment over it, Its ability to finalize ramps, its ability to clear off overburden. All of which the dozer does well and is needed on the claim. but as Pwnocchio has said, It does take skill to get used to its cababilities and faults.
The dirt creating behind the blade is VERY annoying and i as well as others have pointed this out many times. They are working on the pressure system atm and trying to complete the road map so hopefully we will see it fixed at some point.
Sad cause this could be a really good game. Its unfinished and should not even be in beta yet.
