pay dirt
can i stock pile pay dirt? im running 3 conveyors and sick of fueling them and not having a full clean out, so im looking for a new way to wash rocks. the fuel tank just isnt big enough. the fuel tank is what it is im just trying to find a way around it and not have to fill 3 of them if i can stock pile it i can get rid of 2 conveyors and use the front end laoder.. Love this game guys keep up the good work.cant wait for the repairs. everyone else thats complaining can suck a fart. also there any discussion on a dredge?

Well to be honest they have set patches on the show which is kinda the principle here.

thought I saw some discussion about using the franks without running the engines? I could be mistaken, I haven't used them yet...

if you use the front end loader you can get a full clean out with one tank of gas in the conveyor leaving some 15 % in the fueltank when your plant is full, takes some practice but its the fastet way to load, everything doesn't run out of fuel and u have time to screw something up so you don't have to stress out fuel enough if u use the front end loader, don't be picky about what to dig eventually you have to dig everything out so why not start right away ;)

ps u can also load everything up before you start the washplant, gives u a head start, the franks can be filled until 100% so as the washplant before u turn anything on, start franks to pass the dirt until the next one is full (or the washplant) all franks and washplant full start up everything and start digging :) u will have a pretty good headstart on things

the fuel tank on the belt for me goes from 100% to 10% after moving about 45 truck loads of dirt, the main engine was used to get the frank into postion and have not been used again for the past 18 days just had to refuel the belt motor once..

Franks fuel should last for about 12 in game hours

Benniebon thats what i have been doin is loading them to 100%. still doesnt answer if i can stock pile dirt or not.

and a dredge maybe?

I use 2 Franks and as mentioned above, I fill them up to 100% before turning them on. Once all are full, I turn all of them and the washplant on for 5mins to process all paydirt.
Fills up a complete T5 washplant including 2 hogpans around 50% and uses about 10-15% of the fuel.

And yes, you can stockpile paydirt, but ONLY on mining ground. You cannot stockpile dirt outside the "digging area". It's what I do at the moment with 1 large and 1 small excavator, piling up a nice mountain next to my Frank and then I do the actual mining the day after.

It's been said many times you cant stock pile dirt near the wash plant but only in the diggable ares.

Not sure I am following your question exactly, but if I am then... all parcels of land or plots have bounderies... (your horizontal) limits. Usually there is a layer of overburden between you and the paydirt... that needs to be stripped off and stockpiled somewhere... but sometimes not. After you hit the paydirt and dig it down to bedrock you are unable to dig thru the bedrock (vertical limits). It's the same in the show...

Great tips, The7thguest. So as long as I pile up the dirt near my conveyor/Frank, it won't lose its gold and I can still make a mountain then load it into my conveyor/Frank? I never knew this! same with filling the Frank to 100%, I just burn through a hell of a lot of diesel keeping everything running while I dash about in dump trucks :steamfacepalm:

Thanks, but to be clear, when you say 'diggable areas' do you mean 'any area where pay-dirt existed' or do you mean 'you can put pay dirt only on existing pay dirt'?

I'm leaving a patch of pay dirt on the ground near the wash plant area at arnolds because I'm not sure if I can drop pay dirt there in the future if I mine the existing initial patch there.

(hope that made sense).
