Any way to know your depth?
First of all I want to say that this not a great game. Some may not think it's good. But the premise is there, and I think it is great. I have put many hours into this just because I not only like the genre, but I like the game, what it does and I really like the Devs.

From what I've seen, they are the most responsive, patient and serious Devs I have ever seen. This toxic community of "Oh, when will X be added/fixed/removed?" and "Do the devs actually do anything?" has been so beautifully cared for by the team themselves, and good going with the Mods too! You really make me happy to see that you can deal with so much BS. To all groups involved, well done and know that your work is greatly appreciated.

Now onto my actual question;

Is there any way that I can see what my current depth to ground level is? With the drilling (which I absolutely love by the way), it gives you incredibly accurate and beautifully laid out information. Part of the information it gives is based on how much gold was in that particular level, and expected yeilds based on where the hotspots are (not necessarily how deep you go).

Say my gold is most concentrated at 3 meters deep, what does 3 meters look like in this game? I have a rough sense of scale but it'd be nice to get a great big ruler so that you could definitively say "This is 3 meters deep".

Is this a thing? Please? Help? Thank? <3

Hi and thanks for the kind words.

OK so the depth is already displayed where your gold values are when you have drilled.

When you click a square you will get the results on the right in a vertical strip. if you look it will have a meter reading on the left and the oz of gold on the right.

Now going further, if you look at the colour of the verticle box you will see it changes with the amount of gold, brighter yellow for high gold and grey for very little, now.of you click toggle square and start digging in the highlighted square you will see that it changes colour, this colour is the same colour that is displayed in the verticle box.

Using this colour on the highlighted square you can work out your depth.

Go to the steam guides for the game and I have a drill guide on there.

The "400-excav" has a max depth of around 8-9m, so do your math ;)

Yeah, I talked about that in my post, I mean in game, as in, I know where the gold is, but I have no idea how deep I have actually dug, just a rough estimate.

Useful, thanks! I was just wondering if there was an actual way to do it, maybe that can be a suggestion? ;) (Send royalties to my PayPay (jk))

You see it when the colour changes.

Thanks! I did not know this helpful feature existed until now. :D
