You can buy a bunch of jerry cans and refill the excavator it using those. You still have to drive to the gas station in the pickup truck with them though if you don't buy a fuel tank. And keep in mnd a jerry can holds 20 gals, so you would need something like 15 of them to fil the small excavator from empty to full in one trip.
