New Player Guide
So you want to be a gold miner, well first things first, hop into your truck and head to the bank.
You should only need to take a loan of 1k but you can take the 2k if you feel its needed.

The nugget event will happen on any parcel you pick.

List of basic items needed when starting the game as of 11/28/17

Rent Parcel
Take Loan, minimum needed startup cash is $720
Go to shop and purchase the following:
-Hog Pan Pump $200
-Hog Pan Sluicebox $50
-Hog Pan Sluicebox Extension $100
-Water Pump $200
-Hog Pan Mats x4 $25
-Water Filer $25
-Water Hose Fat $20
-Water Hose Thin $20
-Bucket x1 $5

Once you have all your items purchased and loaded into your truck, head up to the gas station and fill your water pump.
*Always make sure to fuel your items or fuel your Jerry cans before leaving town.*
Head to your claim of choice and setup the Hog Pan.
Fill bucket and Panning System(Found in tent).
Attach the water filter to the fat hose and then to the pump.
Start the water pump and start digging, you switch to the shovel using "<" or ">".
When the mats reach 100% rinse them in the water bucket
Pour bucket into Gold Pan(Found in tent) and start panning.
The 40oz nugget event will trigger during one of the 4 panning times.

After the event finish panning the bucket of paydirt and then head to the blacksmith in town.
If you took the max loan you should have enough to smelt the bar, if not sell the lowest amount of ore so you can afford to smelt the gold
Once you have the bar you can leave it on the bench there and head to the bank.
Sell your gold bar.
Pay off your loan and then retake a new one, take the longest repayment possible. You can pay it off faster later(amount covered below).

First thing you want to do is head to the machine shop and buy the Small Excavator($28,000) and move it to your parcel($1500).
Now head to the shop and get ready to spend some hard earned money.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To break out in Teir 2 mining you will need at minimum the following:

-Small Excavator $28,000($1,500 to move)
-Mobile Washplant $13,500
-Mobile Generator $350
-Power Rope Thin $30
-Power Rope Fat $30
-Jerry Cans x2 $20 +$80 to fill them
-Bucket x3 $15

Total cost $43,525

The above will get you started using what you have left on your parcel.
That would be the Water pump the water hose fat and thin and the water filter, and the panning system and gold pan.
If you want stop panning for the gold you will also need the following:

-Power Splitter $120
-Power Rope Fat $30
-Power Rope Thin x3 $90
-Water Splitter $30
-Water Hose Thin x2 $40
-Water Hose Fat $20
-Wave Table $6000
-Magnetite Seperator $1000

Extra costs $7,330

If you want the whole package you need a total amount of $50,855.
That just gets your items you also need fuel for all your equipment and your truck.
If you take the larger loan you should be able to afford a mobile fuel tank and fill it to cut down on trips to town.
All of these items will fit in a single trip.

You also want to try and keep $3000 so you can start hiring workes from your tablet in your tent.

As soon as you make enough gold to repay your current loan you want to do that and see if you can take out one large enough to afford the Big Excavator($74,000), once you have that gold should come easy.

Once you have a steady flow of gold you can start to make a frankenstein mining system that uses Teir 2 and parts of Teir 3 together.
You need to have $183,000 or about 150oz of gold.

*I have seen this done on the Old Arnold Parcel and know it can not be done on the Pine Valley(No solid ground), have not tested the River Town Parcel.*

Once you have that you can head to the Machine Shop and purchase the following:

-Conveyer Belt Container $15,000
-Converyer Belt $120,000
-Dump Truck $148,000

You will want to have a little more money so you can move the items to your parcel.

You then need to stop by the shop and pick up 4 to 6(more is better they break often) 5m Hook Rope($15)
Return to your parcel and use your excavator and Hook Ropes to move the Conveyer items into their positions(they light up)
Then use the excavator to move your mobile washplant under the Conveyer Belt, might take a while to get the positioning right, once its in place you will need a few more mobile generators and some Power Ropes Fat to power your new items.

You will use the excavator to fill the Dump truck and then drop the dirt into the Conveyer Belt Container. This should allow you to increase the speed of gathering your gold.

They should pin your post so it doesn't get lost and is always at the top on the first page.

Missed the $1500 cost to transport the Small Excavator.

It's in the text above it but I see it's not added in the total prices, I'll get that fixed. Thank you.

Start the water pump and start digging:
Will it work without fuel? Shouldn't you go first to gas station and fill the pump?

You're right, wrote this at 5am, I'll reread after work and make some much needed edits.

Just suggesting:

Best way to start is purchasing the claim with the 40oz. I would straight for River Town (no loan needed). Also is better in for when you reach T3 - no need to fight big hills.

I would mine enough gold on day 1 on to repay the first day loan and buy a wave table. With that, you can fund T2 without loans by the end of day 2.

With that setup, by the end of day 4 you would have T2 with big excavator.

That is working 8am-9:30pm, sleeping at night. With that setup you can easily get per day:

T1 (with wave table): 30oz.
T2 (small excavator): 45oz.
T3 (big excavator): 70oz

It sounds like you are continuing to dig with just the shovel for almost 2 days game time. While doing it without loans has its perks I designed this guide to help newer players get into the meat of the game faster, which has the drawback of loans. As for the fighting with hills, I personally found River Town to have the most hills in the dirt and on the claim in general. I highly recommend checking out Pine Valley. Has a little higher tax on your gold but is almost completely flat land. Also with the set up I laid out you could take the max loan for the second time and purchase the Old Arnold Parcel as well as everything else needed. Also how do you manage to get 30oz from the hog pan in 60 mins?

Correct, 2 days with T1, but with a big difference. On second day, I have a wave table (too much time is lost picking nuggets by hand). Gold yield in River Town is higher. From 1.5oz to 6oz, average would be 3oz per bucket.

I think for T3 hills that matter most are in the drop point, not within the claim. You can start mining from the border outwards.
