Big Excavator vs Small Excavator?

I just managed to get enough to upgrade to the Big Excavator but i am not see any difference from the ammount of dirt it fills into the mobile wash plant, normally a full scoop from the small excavator would fill the mobile washer by 45-50% and after using the big excavator its doing roughly the same ammount of filling...whats going on

Something must be wrong with my small one I was getting anywhere from 10 to 20% per load. I take this is another bug geez. We sure this is not early access? I have seen more bugs in the 2 days owning this game then most early access games I have played.

originally when i started playing a few days ago the small one would fill the mobile washer as high as 70% per full bucket, and after the patch that increased the sizes of stuff it went down to as high as 50% which i accecpt made sense but there is no reason the big excavator is only matching the same ammout of more recent even less though i cannot tell if i am emptying it too close to the top of the washer or i need to empty it higher but it didnt seem to make a difference

I've been using the large excatator for awhile now and have gotten fairly good with it. Since the latest update I can get the mobile wash plant 97%-98% full with one bucket load. Before the update I would get well over 100% if I dumped it all and used two mobile wash plants to deal with that. Now I can just use the one and I never overload it.

Here's a tip on using the excavators for you that I don't see any youtubers using, so I'm not sure if anyone really does. The 'y' and 'h' keys open and close the lid to the bucket. Use them to close the bucket after filling it if your bucket is at an odd angle. This will prevent a lot of dirt from spilling out when you lift it out of the hole.

i use the controller but i understand closing the lid....but i havent seen any dirt spilling out when i am in the middle of moving it

that means something is wrong, i didnt sell mine i moved it to an old arnold and have a worker using it, either the game things the big excavator is a small one or the big excavators stats are messed up on its own if i make no mistakes in lining up the bucket and dumping it the big excavator can fill about 43% of the mobile washer

Using keyboard and mouse you can close/ open the bucket lid with mouse- very handy.

ok, i am not losing any dirt between the ground to the washer, you can use the triggers on the xbox one controller to open/close the excavators bucket lid which i do use you cant be saying i am losing over half the dirt when there is no visible dirt particles and no visible dirt being lost in the bucket itself

Both using keyboard and mouse if you extend your small arm and your lid is not closed the dirt will(should) come out. Maybe your bucket is itself in close position in angle so dirt cant spill out.

And if you are digging in "L" or scraping dirt from walls it also wont spill.

i sold both the big and small excavator made a save went and bought a new one made a save, got back to the claim too the big excavator and dug a hole making sure to close the lid on the bucket like i awlays do and brought it over the mobile wash plant grate, no soil was lost from the dig spot to the washer, and when i carefully dumped it i only got 43% of the washer filled so either the excavators are broken or they nerfed the excavator bucket capacity

small bump but i uploaded a stream dont ask why there is an annoying cracking sound i dont even know but about 2 and a half minutes in you will see it only being filled by 43% with a full bucket load from a big excavator

Both excavators have been nerfed in dirt capacity, tbh it's the new dirt volume.

One would expect the bucket filling to be adjusted a little bit later one if the devs think it needs it. Right now the gold out put is just where it needs to be.

Alright I was wondering so much case it was such a change and I watch my friend do the same thing and it was loading 100% with the big excavator

Not true... i saw him fill his wash plant and it goes to 43% and My big excavator fills it to 100%+


This is Teir 2 we are talking about to big excavator use to fill it to 100% and another wash plant to 30-40% (Yes i have 2 mobile wash plants next to each other for that purpose...) but since the nerf i only need 1 wash plant
