i later loaded a prior save and the issue fixed itself
so it WAS a clear bug that i was fighting for an hour for nothing
Edit" and the same bug returned now i am not sure what triggred it
it worked without the water splitter
https://youtu.be/wWAAj0TGzsc
but with the water splitter on the bug came back
i also connected a red cord connector to the edge of the cord in the water just for looks
maybe that caused the bug or the water splitter itself
i need to load a save again and avoid the water splitter
Edit" i found the bug source its the connector once you attach it it bugs the water flow
even if you disconnect it it will still be bugged until you disconnect the entire cord that touched it
problem is not with the splitter i tried the spliter solo and it works fine wont bug out the flow
https://youtu.be/Ap0WxhCmAjM
Which... is explained... in DigTube...
Oh well... I tried...
i only used the thing for aesthetics instead of throwing the hose in the water ill attach it to the connector sitting stady on the bottom of the river
even so its still bugged
you will notice when i disconnect the hose from the connector the flow is still bugged and not working until i disconncet the hose from the other side as well and reattach it
It's not going to work otherwise. IRL you use a filter to keep the hose from getting clogged with mud, in the game they just make it not work straight away.
I guess if they wanted more realism they could let you hook it up that way and then trash everything it's hooked up to because it sucks a bunch of mud into the machines but that doesn't sound good to me so...
i dont know, you are prob overthinking it, filter in hose, hose to pump, tube to splitter,, i mean it shoude be asy peasy :P and turn off the machine then rehook everything up, maby that is the problem, i dont know, maby ,, it shoude work,,
The filter serves a necessary purpose on the hose-end. It is to protect the pump from getting debris that would be sucked from the stream and then fouling the pump.
When you use a hose in real life that is going to feed water into a pump the last thing you want going down that hose is a load of gravel, sticks and crap that is floating in the water. You use a filter to keep these larger things OUT and stop them going into the hose and into the whole system.
The only thing that is bugged here is your way of using it.
Press TAB in game and watch all the DigTube videos like others suggested as it would have saved you alot of time from making these videos.
