i cant dig

so ive been loving this game but i try to dig and it dosent work i tried reinstalling the game an rebinding my keys to default my shovel goes into the dirt but dosent pick anything up pls help

Is the ground still frozen? Or are or you trying to dig outside the diggable area maybe?

im trying to mine 10 days before summer it says i tryed to dig right out of spawn

10 days before summer would be 1st day of spring - the ground might still be frozen. Give it a day or so, in the meantime keep busy getting everything you need, setting up the washplant, getting organized...

The small hogpan area is digable at 1st day of spring (10 days to summer) but the huge area not.
