No Nuggets... and other bugs

I have nuggets enabled in settings, yet in over 100 hours of gameplay, I haven't gotten a single nugget other than the one at the start. Any idea why? This is a very old save, started right after the game was released. I also have an issue where I can't wash out the hog pan mats at the end of my tier 3 setup. It either tells me I need clean water (water is clean) or that there is no gold in the mats (they're dirty and say 100%) They were working fine at one time.

With nuggets enabled when you receive your first nugget you get the choice whether to continue to receive them or not. I am going to assume you clicked not to continue receiving them.

Old saves may be bugged because most game mechanics have been changed.
Also at that time you got a huge nugget with 35 oz (or something like this) once(!), later it was changed to smaller nuggets with increasing size from time to time.

For better gaming experience I suggest you start complete new.
