Just an idea, but maybe someone more familiar with the game could confirm.
Sadly, workers can't actually dig dirt in the first place, they can only automate some aspects of maintaining your equipment and processing dirt in the tier 3 refinery.
I have nearly five hundred hours in the game and I've barely cleared half the dirt required for this achievement.
Dig 70% of each claim
Unlocked 2 Feb
At the point of unlocking that I had prob 1600hrs I mean I could of cheesed it like prob 75% of people by just dumping dirt on bedrock but I did it on hard mode where I dug majority of all claims to advance so I didn't need to rely on loans/renting.
Also I get some people can't move lots of dirt so it would take longer to get this but if your struggling to move dirt check out some old/new videos see how people dig find out how you can get quicker and this achievement will become easy.
With respect, 1600 hours for a single achievement isn't really a reasonable task when it involves just doing the exact same thing over and over again. There are a select few people patient enough - myself probably included - who can actually commit to the task, but this is still a really big ask for most people.
It gets even better if you go through the message history
I said I had 1600hrs when I unlocked the achievement never said it would take that long but you also missed what else I said depending on how fast/slow you move dirt will determine how easy this achievement is. Asking to reduce the requirements to suit "some users" play style is great and all BUT! what about us players that don't want to be handed rewards and actually like the grind/multitasking in this game. It's not a big ask for most people at all there are far worse achievement in other games that take longer or are harder for some players and they don't get changed. There are lots of tricks that can make this achievement easy to obtain as one I pointed out in my posted quoted by you and there are many others if you or anyone else found it to be unachievable. I mean I hate drilling in this game can we reduce that achievement down to drilling 1 square in each claim to unlock that? Doesn't make sense if you found that achievement easy does it. Not patronising you or mocking just trying to show there are two sides to it some might find something hard others don't be it using cheesy tactics and other who did it cause they just played the game and it's easily doable.
If you want to do more than the achievement requires... perhaps just keep going after you've completed it?
If you want to do less than the achievement requires, maybe you don't deserve the achievement.....
(used the word "maybe" quite erroneously there)
If anyone values their time so lowly that they want to dig 70% of each claim out, be my guest. I suppose I'll be one of them if I don't get my way.
That said, is there even a single person here who agrees that a 1k+ hour achievement in a poorly optimized game that is literally about digging dirt is unreasonable, or is everyone here into hardcore, long-term virtual dirt digging action so much that this actually seems like a reasonable task? You don't even 'accomplish' anything of note other than having spent an ungodly amount of time doing the same repetitive task over and over and over again.
There was a very long string of 1's and 0's on your computer and all you achieved was changing some 1's to 0's and viceversa to get a slightly different long string of 1's and 0's.
The achievement is not the goal. Having fun long enough with this game IS the goal and you'll get the achievement as a bonus eventually.
You're saying the goal is to "have fun long enough"? That goal doesn't fall upon the player, it's the developer's job to make the player enjoy the game long enough to make the achievements attainable without becoming boring.
I'm curious how much time you have in the game, actually, but I can't tell because your profile is partially private. How long have you invested?
