Drill Machine workers
After putting them in your drill the reveal one sq of the map, does this happen again or is it a one hit wonder, making keeping the guy in payroll or upgrading him pointless

Not sure but I believe you have to be working the machine they're assigned to.

Yes the workers now only provide bonuses for the machinery they are assinged too. They do not do work on their own. You also have to operate the machine for the worker to provide those bonuses.

NOTE: The only exception to this is the Maintenance worker, who repairs parts on your claim. This worker will not fix parts on items that are still in use or powered, so best to switch out part & place in area accessable by worker. These repairs take time, but the worker will keep at them all day long.

Not sure but I believe you have to be working the machine they're assigned to.

No ... due to my experienece you have to be on the claim.

I tried the drill worker for a few days and never got him to do anything. I could drill the claim myself and would reveal what i drilled. There was never any new holes/reveals by the worker. Is he broken in 1.5.5.14077 or previous?

Adding worker to drill machine will not drill anything. It's just a "bonus" additional to drill machine. Only you drive it. Open the worker menu and click on worker that you assigned to drill machine and read it.

There is other way to get drill holes without you doing it - go to bank (either way going to the bank or tablet) and click on claim and you can see a button where you can pay someone to drill 10 holes for you.

The description for the worker is now for Level 1: Automatically reveal one random square on Parcel.
I have read it many times. I have yet to see anything revealed.

I tried assigning him and leaving it alone: No squares in many days.
I tried driving it myself and ended up drilling entire claim in 2 days with no squares showing up except in the strickt pattern I was following myself.

It does not appear to speed it up either. Right now I see no benefit of Level 1 at all.

Also, you can buy 20 holes now at bank.
