What happens at winter?

I am approaching winter - i see the countdown of days. What happens - what do i have to do?
I have searched through the in game help and can find no information and can find no info in the guides here. Is it supposed to be a secret? Appreciate any help.

If you have damage turned off - does the winter damage not happen?

Is it up to you to go to hotel?

Damage should not happen but some reports say it has happened for them, i think you need to go to the hotel and call it teh end of season.

++SPRING
• Big Repairs - If you haven't put your equipment to the hangar or transport storage space, you're in a bit of a hole... Everything that could be broken will be broken.
• Animal Attacks - From time to time an animal can attack your claim (Popup event). There is a chance that your employee will be attacked and will be inactive for a while (information will be displayed in the Workers tab on the laptop) or the animal can break your cables/hoses (you will need to replace them).
• Meltdown - Earth is still a bit frozen, so you need to use the ripper (Bulldozer's back) to cultivate the earth before digging. If the temperature is low, the earth should still freeze over time. If you would not use the ripper, you won't be able to dig.
• Prices - Regular prices in the shop. All prices will vary day to day across the season.
++SUMMER
• High Temperature - What a blistering heat! Machines break faster.
• Fainting - Workers can faint and be inactive for a while.
• Prices - Higher prices in the shop.
++AUTUMN
• Heavy Rain - Electrical equipment is breaking faster. Wash Plant is breaking faster because of the dense and wet earth. Vehicles have less traction.
• Storm - The Laptop is off (no signal).
• Thunderstruck - At the beginning of the storm, thunderstruck can hit your big generator. There is a chance for each part connected to break as a result.
• Prices - Regular prices in the shop.
++WINTER
• Permafrost - Earth is frozen. You need to use the ripper (Bulldozer's back) to cultivate the earth before digging. If you would not use the ripper, you won't be able to dig.
• Freeze - Vehicles are breaking way faster. When the temperature is very low, hoses can break if the connected equipment is turned off, but the water pump is still running. Workers can get sick and be inactive for a while.
• Fuel - Higher fuel usage.
• Prices - Lower prices in the shop.

so im 2days nefor winter and im working all the stuff into the garage...as long as they fit in.
since i will buy Tier4 equipment i sell my double jigs and trommel so far so good.
BUT i cant lift the shaker !!? i disconnct water and electric . When i try to lift it seems the rusty big cunstruction over the shaker wont go up and hold the shaker down because the white shaker itself lift a few inches uip against this rusty thing...but it belangs to the shaker. any ideas ??

Maybe just remove all the breakable parts and put them in the shed instead? (ie: 'winterizing' the equipment, in a manner of speaking...)

why ? I can get money out of the Shaker when i bring it to the junk place ! The Trommel gave me 5000 and the both jigs another 5 or so ....

You're trying to lift the shaker-bed instead of the shaker. Unhook a cable and see if there is a lower place to hook it to (foundation). That's what I remember from way back when I made the same mistake.

Or - using transport transfer it to storage and then back to your site and it will be accessible.

i tried all hook points . There are 4 below and 4 high. NEither worked !
Transport Transfer worked but than i loose money !
And when installing the Tier4 Derocker there was no yellow sign in the air but when i come close to the point it suddenly fit in the place. Think it is ok ?
