By day 6 that would be very hard to do I think. You would have to dig in hog pan area for a day at least i would think. I went fast but not that fast.
In the case I'm with T3, and Tonnel from T4, I took the same one on the 3rd day, borrowed it and rented the machinery, I already got 1600 OZ, but even so it's difficult to keep up with the people from above, they evolve too fast, it is difficult to follow them !!!
This is why I don't do leader board. I like to take some risk but not be on the raged edge and sometimes I just wanna chill and dig.
I was having the same idea, but isn't the 45% much?
I'm currently mining as much as I can until the season ends, I wanted to buy a field, so I don't have to pay the percentage, and get more money, but I don't know how far this can be so effective.
Notes from earlier discussions:
Bottom line is that the returns are:
T1: 96% (Highly efficient but VERY slow)
T2: 7%
T3: 20%
T4: 27%
T5: 33%
Whilst the % difference might not seem big, the returns you're getting are massive (Tier 5 over 50% more gold than Tier 3).
Remember also, that these tests are WITHOUT workers, so they'll also add to the bottom line and will add a greater % to Tier 5 than they will to Tier 3, pushing the 33% much higher (though I don't know to how much).
Credit to "Storm" who did the Testing.
I`ve started 4 or 5 of them but can never keep pace. In Lb8 I was in full T3 setup by the end of day 2. In the first 4 real time days I played about 30 hours. By the end of the first season I was ready to set up T4 at the next claim. I was about 16th when I stopped, but the top 10 already had treble/quadruple my gold.
I`m not convinced they cheat, I just think they play it relentlessly & exploit the game mechanics, like advancing through several seasons at the hotel in order to get workers quicker or resetting the dumper truck closer to the wash plant when loading at the back of the claim etc.
I`m currently on my fourth season on hard mode, and every oz of gold matters, less about volume more about decision making. After 4 seasons digging out OA, I`m only just ready to move to River Town with a T3/T4 set up.
..
BUT really?
4 seasons??? I have not played hard mode but it must be way harder then normal.
It took me 3 seasons to fully own a T3 set up, so i was renting at about 21k a day, and then giving up 30% of the gold on top. Factor in more frequent breakdowns, some in game days you don`t make much £ progress. There were plenty of days where I was racing against the clock to smelt gold before midnight in order to stay solvent.
Makes it more enjoyable when you start to turn a corner & become a little more self sustaining. being able to rent RT, whilst slowly upgrading to T4 and owning a claim is progress.
If you have already played normal mode, I would recommend it.
like i explain in the video i would of written it all out but with my very poor grammer and spelling i would of no doubt upset the whole of the steam community
