Mobile water tank
Hi,

So I've JUST finished setting up a Tier 3 plant at Old Arnold. I don't have the water tower, so I decided to buy a water tank to act as a buffer in case I have water issues down the road.

I've hooked up a small electric water pump with a fat hose to the tank (I see it has fat and huge inlets). The water inlet turns green to show it's getting water when I turn on the pump but the icon on the tank shows white.

Does this mean it's full or that it's not getting any water into the tank? I'm not sure if it comes full from the store or not, I was expecting it to be empty.

Not sure what the icon on the tank indicates but it doesn't seem to work properly and is not particularily useful. You should instead look at the numbers shown above it (xxxxx/100000l) which show how much water is actually in there and the total capacity of the tank. When you are pumping water into the tank the first number should go up.

When you buy the tank it will be empty and you need to fill it.

Hmmm, how do you get the numbers to show please?

Didn't know you could do that and I can't find the correct setting.

They should show up automatically. Try saving and restarting the game, maybe it's glitched out.

Nope, I've NEVER had numbers, anywhere, I read sometimes people talking about numbers but I thought those were just stats people knew.

Sometimes the labels appear if you disconnect and connect the hoses.

I've never ever had any labels. I also tried changing some settings and doing some searches but still can't find anything.

Is it possibly a difference between normal and hard? I'm playing on normal.

No. It behaves the same regardless of difficulty.

Maybe try also disconnecting all the hoses and moving it around a bit with the truck then reconnect everything. If that doesn't fix it either you should take a screenshot and make a post in the Technical issues / Bug reporting section.

Thanks, the only thing I just thought of is maybe the "pressure" setting? I haven't tried that as I first wanted to get a handle on the game, could it be that I need to turn that on?

I just assumed both water and power could have the values or does just water have the values?

I know this is over a year late but I had the same issue today and found that by turning on the pressure system in the options the numbers popped up AND I got it to fill the tank

You can also fill the tank up at the water tower near the gas/petro station in town, be sure to take hoses with you.
