Edit save file?

I read something on here the other day about editing your money in the save files but I cannot find it again. Is this possible? I want to do a little experimenting on game balancing.

Right decission from the Devs to encrypt the save file. That way you can be sure that people do not start to edit the files and create tons of threads where they are complaining about bad save files because they don't know what they have done.

ehh i disagree if people mess em up just igore/lock what they complain about i they messed up they shouldent ask the devs to fix thre mistake countless games have modding they all EXPRESSLY say that there supprt team to fix isssues that happen from modding is not garunteed to help if people wanna edit there crap they should do so at there own risk and know that if the complain or ask for help its not on the devs to fix something the USER broke cause he wanted to experiment if you break it and needa restart oh well maybe dont mess with it in the firstplace then

I don't agree with that. You need a common denominator to ensure that if an issue appears that you can reproduce it. All players need the same environment.

I dont really know why it needs to be. I mean everything else ya sure but the save file? O_O why would they care if u mess with that its a single player game. edit- holy thread necromancer look at the age of the post 2 above me. its aug 8th now, dec 24 then.

There really isn't a need to have a cheat code with the one dollar option. Go to setting in the game menu and enable $1 mode option and everything is a dollar.

People edit save files and wind up breaking their game. Then they report it as a bug and send devs on a wild goose chase wasting dozens of precious hours looking for a bug that doesn't exist. This is why some devs choose to encrypt save files.

Pretty much this, before they encrypted the saves people would report bugs and we would struggle to work them out then for us to workout that they have edited the save files.

I'm sure there is more to it than just that thou.

It was an excellent decision that the Devs have taken, so they can really solve Bugs and not solve the mess of the players, who edit the files.

Soooo, Learning a little bit more about this.... if you put .zip on the end of the file, you can open the zip and inside you will find your save...... unfortunately its password protected.... I know enough to get this far, and may try bruteforce this thing open.... but if the devs have gone this far I expect them to have used a long password of and evil nature, I cant be bothered.... I might start looking around the game files for the password..... Who knows i could be going down the wrong track..... what else do i have to do on a Sunday night.... Fair to say the devs are ♥♥♥♥♥..... you should be able to play the game the way that you wish... especially being a single player game... considering the game is still near unplayable with frame drops and ♥♥♥♥.

I Dont agree with what said above... The devs are making a breakfast of this game, you cant say a game with this many problems should be out of beta... blaming us for there mess of a game is just BS.... now encoding the save file and removing cheats IS A ♥♥♥ MOVE!!! So now not only the devs cant do there job they also are wankers as well..... NO SYMPATHY
