Try two portable washplants, hire workers to autoswap the buckets. Place them side by side, each bucket from the large ex is about 25% so you can get two running at the same time with pretty consistant feed of dirt.

priorities - first goal is to buy the claim - to get rid of the 40% share. Then it gets way easier to make money. And the bank is a good option - I produce around 600oz of gold per day in my T3. (without having any workers) - thats like $ 600.000 per day. So take your loan but take care to choose more days for payback ! default is one day - which is the problem most players have.
Also remember that the bank is using your stored gold to calculate the maximum interest rate. So get the credit first - then sell your goldbars.

So what your saying is the more gold in your account at the time of applying for a loan the better the interest will be ?

who woulda thunk it

Yeah im not sure what happened to me, I had about 80 buckets full I cashed them all in 1 day got me around 400k ish, borrowed 200k to buy claim but some how now my repayments are 30k a day for 21 days which = about 600k which is what the claim is worth. Buggered if i know how that happened and not much i can do about it now.
Borrow 200k, pay back 600k GG. So my advise is just stay away from the bank its not even worth having it in game tbh.

hmm.. I didnt use bank loans since anniversary update. But before it was a really good choice.
And yes - the bank calculates your gold storage as collateral - like a real bank would.

Never make a loan to buy a claim.. it's worse than paying % of gold... loaning for big machines is another story.

The updated loan system adds quite a bit more strategy it seems. Used to be that you'd basically be working towards your next loan - however, with interest and repayment so high you really have to think twice.

Thing is I now see myself NEVER taking out loans for anything (except at the very beginning to get hog pan pump). I almost think they need to dial it back a bit so players aren't brutally punished for using loans, but that's just a game balance thing for the devs to look at I suppose.

The 30% royalty hurts, but by the time you've got enough to buy the claim ($600k) that's enough to buy a base tier 3 setup, right? So is it better to get tier 3 first or buy out the claim? To make buying the claim really worth it you'd need to mine roughly $1.8 million on OA (and really that's after you'd be able to buy the claim so everything mined up to that point wouldn't really count against your break-even point). I'm thinking by that point there's really not enough good ground left on OA to make it worth it. Better off using that $600k to get your tier 3 setup and then use the production from that to start saving up for your next claim...

nice to see my post starting a debate, yeh i made a mistake early on getting a loan and took ages to repay it. Just seems like your at tier 2 for such a long time. maybe im doing something wrong when mining as im almost 2 weeks in (game days) and only have 80k.

im now getting around 50 oz of gold per 16 buckets now, just desperate to get tier 3 without using the 1$ cheat

Well couple thing s you can do to help cut costs.
This goes with all equipment that holds dirt. Fill it up to 100% or just under then start it up and start working does save on a bit of fuel.

Taking the time to search for story stuff also helps there is a thread on here now showing where some of the pages are hopefully everyone will chip in to get locations of all.

Workers for cleanouts?? toss up depends on how much cash you have on hand and how much gold you are getting out of the spot your digging in. (remember no drilling machine your digging blind so 50/50 on amount of gold you going to get) That and the fact you waste a lot of time traveling back and forth to keep cash on hand to pay workers if you have not stocked up on cash before you hired them.

If you have been diggin in the hand dig area only (this just popped into my head) and its all cleaned out you may be able to move your set up to main area and keep hand digging for a little while longer fuel costs would stay lower for a bit.

Forget about loans buy piece by piece for your tier set up remember you dont need to use it but you can store it till your ready to set up and this will make you feel good about the non stop digging as your next tier starts showing up on site.

But id have to say main thing as slow and painful as it is. You can save up from hand dig area to purchase claim which you want to do asap then everything is yours.

Only other little tid bit i can think of atm is purchase the big fuel tank asap. Does not matter if you can move it around claim or not yet but it will save you time on running for fuel. you dont need to fill it all the way if your short on cash just enough to keep you going. Saves alot of time (dont need to drive to town to fill small tanks) run across to tank and fill or haul small trailer tank over and top it off.

IMO since prices drop around winter, I would say to take your time to get to T4 or T5 and skip T3. As long as you are wise on how you mine without a drill, you can still make money without a loan.
Gough Oct 23, 2018 @ 1:15pm
before the update i used the drill on the first claim and seen its good gold at the far end to the right hand side so thats where i started, cant get to the bottom of the massive hole i have so my plan is to have the tier 3 washplant and then collect all the dirt leading to the area from the washplant, but to do that i will need to get a rock truck after i get the tier 3. just sucks that it takes so long

yea back end of the claim has the best gold and does take forever main reason why we see so many post for multi player lol (No we are not discussing that in here plus its been beaten to death already lol) but with the talk of loosing gold when it falls down best bet is to have a dozer and push your pile up and then collect it with whatever this way you can build a road down to the bottom without as much gold going bye bye

another thought if you want to take the time is to build a ramp in this game the dirt kinda goes straight down no slope so it would be possible to build a ramp up so you can park mobile wash plant beside and possibly dump into it with truck or loader.

yeh the physics are not very good for dirt, i thought the bug for loosing dirt was fixed, then i dig i always dig as low as possible, thought the dirt loss was from the loader
Rovo Oct 23, 2018 @ 1:42pm
yea loader bad for that but really how would you notice in this game real life the dirt just piles up if you miss lol but it also does that in here so dont know if it is a real gone for good or if the bucket just to big to dump into frank etc that and fact when you clear an area you can still keep digging till you get no dirt in shovel or bucket.

Thinking of trying out the ramp idea in the $1 mode for the mobile wash plant see if its worth the effort dozer loader fill plant may be the way to go if trying to get to bottom and not have huge holes all over the place. That or dig down enough to get mobile plant level with ground and go from there.
