So I cleaned the mats in the bucket of water.
What am I suposed to do next? How do I get the gold out of the bucket of water? The video tutorial in the game is no help at all.

P.S. one mat vanished when I placed it in the bucket. Guess I have to buy a new one.

pick up the bucket and pour it into your gold pan. If you haven't already, the big water bucket and gold pan are in the green tent. Fill the big water bucket with water. Once you've poured some dirt onto the gold pan, go to the big water bucket (it's silver) and use it. use the right mouse button (i think, could be right) to lower the gold pan into the silver bucket. bring it back up and move your mouse around to sift the dirt in the water. When you see gold pieces that have been rinsed enough, hit shift to pick them out. Once you've got all the gold out, tilt the gold pan using W A S or D. Rinse/Repeat. There should be enough dirt in the white bucket to do this 4 times.

Strange.

You either need to use the gold pan and wash it by hand, or get a wavetable, waterpump and generator to wash the paydirt. Also get a Jerrycan and fill it at the gas station, maybe even fill the pump and generator at the gas station as well. Get some cables and water cables. Figure out how many you need for this setup. I bet there's a guide somewhere around here that can explain it much better then me.

Okay I got it now, thanks :)

And the mat fell through the bucket apparently. I just missed the aiming point for the action. I have set my mouse to low dpi now, because it is so hard to aim the mouse pointer otherwise.

if your going for wavetable setup dont forget to buy a big red water cable AND a water filter to put on the "River End" and hook it into the "In" port on pump - sorry if this feels like a 'janet & john' explanation... it's just how I think :D

Some things you still have to put two and two together for, power and pump setups, i didn't think it was all that hard to figure out that i need a generator and power cords and the right hoses to get things running. Doesn't tell you to buy a big fuel tank either but you'll need that if you don't want to make constant trips to the fuel station. These machines suck fuel like an aboriginal on an airplane wing.
