Power Generator Struck by Lightning. every 20 seconds

I just moved to Pine Valley and starting at about 5 or 6 days to winter the thunder storms would roll in. Something happened to where every time a thunderclap is heard or about every 20 seconds, my power generator is struck by lightning.

I've replaced 4 Electric motors in one day on my duplex jigs.

Any fix I can do? if not happy just to bring attention to it.

I had this at OAP, for 2 in day games every time I hear lighting I had the notification

It shouldn't cause any damage except for the first strike. You'll still get messages but no damage for the remainder of the storm.

only thing you can do is turn damage off when it hits winter.

Darn it now I'm getting this too! Very annoying. And i AM getting more damage with the additional hits! A lighting strike took out the big water pump coil; I replaced it with a brand new one, twice, and both the new ones were also destroyed within 2 minutes. A pair of electric engines as well.

I was running the equipment at the time. Sooo, what's the answer, just shut down and sit out electrical storms? Because in autumn that seems to be 60% of the time.

i've also been getting this notification sense 10 days to winter, usually early afternoon for atleast 6-10 hours of a thundrstorm. Never had this problem in previous seaseons.

Guys, I don't know if this is the answer, but I just tried it twice and it worked both times... When a thunderstorm hits in autumn, just go to the trailer and take a nap for one hour. Wake up - storm over. Much better than enduring "generator hit by lightning" messages for 10-12 game hours.

Maybe I just got lucky but I'm going to keep doing that to see if it keeps working. And heck, it's not cheating imo - I have a hard time recalling a thunderstorm irl that did go on for over an hour.

Edit: just a follow-up - this has continued to work so far (4 out of 4 times).
