I'm nearing the end of the season and I'm about to see how fast they will repair everything if I leave my T5 washplant, large excavator, truck, dozer, frontloader, generator and pumps and recovery equipment all out during permafrost. I'm expecting it to be repaired by the end of the first day of spring before mining is even possible.
6-7 times the health for 10-20 times the cost doesn't seem that worth it.
By keeping one fully trained mechanic on staff and using only quality parts everywhere there is a choice I haven't had a single breakdown in years of game time.
With the mechanic, yeah I've heard he makes reinforced parts work well. But without a mechanic, no, they are not.
