Spare parts quality
Was just wondering if anybody knows about the difference in the spare parts. There is the cheaper and the more expensive part. Is it worth buying the more expensive part?

probably not, that must be glitched too! wait a year or two before bying them mabe theres a chance by then that they will sort of work :P, from what i seen from this game theres nothing that come out that works the way it was intended to work theres always a glitch and it almost always creates a new glitch with something else, each time they add something new or a new patch! they dont seem to test what they create before adding them to the game!

• The reinforced set of breakable parts, which have greater durability, but also a greater price. They can be distinguished by a different color. Players can now choose to use more expensive parts, which will last longer. Reinforced parts are available in the Store.

I will give it a try see if it makes a difference or not. Thanks!

Reinforced parts are definitely worth it if you can afford them.

What's worth more are fully upgraded workers for each piece of equipment and six fully upgraded Mechanics. I have not had one piece break since I got to that kind of a crew. They repair faster than damage is done.

I'm nearing the end of the season and I'm about to see how fast they will repair everything if I leave my T5 washplant, large excavator, truck, dozer, frontloader, generator and pumps and recovery equipment all out during permafrost. I'm expecting it to be repaired by the end of the first day of spring before mining is even possible.

6-7 times the health for 10-20 times the cost doesn't seem that worth it.

Actually it is, not just in terms of limiting downtime but also financially as well if you have a good mechanic, because the added durability makes better use of the mechanic's time. Think about it, you're paying him the same rate regardless of whether he's fixing the cheap part or the expensive one, and his work has a much longer benefit when he's fixed the expensive one. Plus, this in turn makes it easier for one top quality mechanic to keep on top of all the equipment on the claim before anything breaks down, so you 1) have no down time, and 2) don't need spare parts.

By keeping one fully trained mechanic on staff and using only quality parts everywhere there is a choice I haven't had a single breakdown in years of game time.

With the mechanic, yeah I've heard he makes reinforced parts work well. But without a mechanic, no, they are not.
Interesting thanks!

Even without mechanic reinforced parts make sense: Almost no downtimes.
