- 4 sluicebox grates in the large sluicebox leading to the trommel. These fill 1 bucket per clean-out (the best one).
- 2 x 6 (total 12) miner's moss in the sluiceboxes just below the trommel. These fill 3 buckets per clean-out.
-Then you get the 4 buckets (2x2) under the duplex jigs.
- Then you get the hogpans (2), which each fill another bucket.
Honestly I think the price of the second plot is a little high, being that you earn very little with tier 2 to reach the second plot or get all the objects for tier 3, there are only two ways that you can borrow from the bank in many quotas or rent everything and try to generate as much gold as possible so as not to lose so much when it comes to paying the rent, etc.
I kept my T2 on Arnolds until winter of the first season (S2) then I had enough money to buy the T4 (skipped T3) with dumptruck and the conveyor belt (from T3, not the Frank). But in summer I bought the big excavator and beginning of winter the bulldozer for ripping frozen ground.
At that time a trick worked where you could stockpile your paydirt (after running it through the magsep) in around 35 buckerts, begin to pan them (with wavetabe) at morning, smelt the gold, sell the gold bars and buy the caim on same day and you won't get charged by the owner (so I didn't had to pay the claim rent). You can try it out (with a new save), if it doesn't work then reload the first save and run the wavetabe again but you smelt one day later (ese you have to pay smelt costs for that part which the owner gets).
I've now got enough in the bank to buy the next claim but there is still about 30% of OA left to mine. Which leads to options:
1. move straight to Rivertown and stop paying rent
2. Mine out OA and see if I then have enough to buy the next (better) claim instead of Rivertown.
3. Mine out OA and see if I then have enough to buy Rivertown AND upgrade to T4...
etc.
I like that the game isn't too easy but at the same time doesn't restrict you to just one linear progression path.
Normally I go from the first moment with the big excavator, it is faster filling the washing plant of tier 2, is this fine or is the small excavator better? and when is the best time to sell gold?
