Renting equipment
I have 2 questions regarding this topic. The first one being how do you get rid of rented equipment once you are done using it? The second question is can you buy the equipment without having to return it . Such as the tier 3 wash plant equipment because I do not want to reset it all up again.

To get rid of the equipment you need to sell it. Simply put it in the parking area near the container for broken parts. It is located on every claim. Then use the cash register to sell the equipment.
Unfortunately, there is no way to buy the equipment without returning it.

Thank you for the quick response and answers to my questions! That would be a nice feature to add in the future as it takes a long time to setup the tier 3 wash plant and to have to take it down and set it up again would be a pain. Another question I have because i just noticed it is that my price of rent for the equipment has being going down each day but I'm still using all the same stuff. Not sure if that is supposed to happen or if I'm just going crazy?

Thanks for reporting, we'll check it out! The price for renting the machine should change in the Machines Store since the prices of equipment change over the year. However, once rented, the daily cost should be the same every day.

Thank you. I figured out why my rent changed. For some reason it says I own the front-end loader when I originally was renting it. Must have been some glitch that changed it from being rented to owned.

How do you disconnect Bigger machinery so that you can place it in the location to sell? Im renting the shaker and conveyor belt but cant figure out how to disconnect it once its connected besides throwing them back to storage then back to claim to sell loosing 10k$ in the process. there is no way to differentiate between rented equipment and owned that i can see.

To remove large rented machines:

Unplug all connections, (power and water etc) then lift it out with large excavator (or similar) using cables. Just to make sure you lift in a direction the clear surrounding equipment and away from the snap in place marker (Yellow outline).

Once free from the original location move it to the sell area (large pad near the cash register) To sell for zero dollars.

Only way I know / check for rented machines. Is working out the rent value showed at the end of each day and when you sell a rented machine it's for ZERO value.

That happens when you are still connected to water, power, buckets etc. Removal all and lift very slowly to allow your PC to register you are lifting. Otherwise all you do is snap them cables.

Last leader-boards (7) I removed a few rented machines this way.

Would be great if i could buy out the rented equipment without having to fully replace it with a new one. Seems like such an obvious thing.

if you've got extra money to spare, you can transport the machine to storage, then back to your claim and it will drop it back near the sell point and you just need to drag it in to sell, probably not the best option when you are on tier three, but later on it is sometime worth the extra few thousand to get it back to a clear spot
