40oz nugget?

i recently bought the game after watching some Youtube about it. I have been hog panning in Old Arnold and i have enough to go to tier 2 thanks for finding a bunch of smaller nuggets, 1 to 3 ozs. My question is is the 40oz nugget i see people get on older videos still a thing or has it been replaced with more smaller ones? I dont want to move to tier 2 if theres 40oz of gold just waiting for me.

Tl DR is the 40oz nugget event still in game when starting out or has it been replaced with getting multiple smaller nuggets?

Rule number one: Don't watch outdated videos on Youtube because many things in the game have changed!

You don't have the one big nugget anymore, you get smaller ones. Those nuggets are for giving a better start and are scripted, at beginning you get them often and later it takes longer. The gold in the dirt or the efficiency of the washplant has nothing to do with the nuggets.

I actually no longer get them even though the option is on in the menu. I wish I still did every once in a while but in Cleanout not when its dug as that would be more realistic. I like the little excitement it brought when I found one. Can the devs change it so you can keep finding them throughout an entire playthrough. That would be great.

As long as options is still on you can find them, but it's a lot more rare then the initial flood. Could probably go entire year without one... if you are super unlucky but they should still drop.

I've started a new game recently, and still digging out OA. And I just found a huge nug of 40.xx oz!

Mostly I found between 18-20 oz and 35ish oz

Just be lucky I guess 😂 good 🤞
