Need help tier 4
So I've played a few seasons and i keep getting stuck at tier 3 and tier 4. The gold per cleanup is so terrible that i run out of money and or land. I've read about the mining from the top down. I've went for the second parcel. I skipped tier 3 this time and went right to 4 so i would have the dump truck. My last experiment i got 12 ounces for gold out of my wash plant. i can only do 2 to 3 full clean ups a day. usually i get 8 to 10 ounces per plant clean up. Is this right? i can make 100 ounces with the excavator and 2 mobile plants int the time if i'm lucky to make 40 with the tier 4. I don't get it. What am i missing. I'm about to give up .

You probe the dirt, you are diggin?
If not, he just have bad luck, diggin at the false place i would suggest.

Yea the amount of gold you get is very dependent on the quality of the dirt you wash: I just processed some 60 buckets, and while several had 20+ ounces others barely had 2 (I was blindly digging out a wide swath of the claim). If you want to rush the best patches, rent the drill machine and spend a day surveying as many squares as you can,

Whats the diffeculty? On arnold, leaderboard diff, the only claim worth digging top town, if you have not drilled to see if worth it.

I get around 12-15oz just in the nugget trap tier 3

I got hung up on second parcel part. Rivertown is fully capable of having 1/3 of the claim being basically worthless garbage. Drill and then drill some more. Mindless dirt gobbling is what you do on your first season, once you have washplant stop doing that and dig for profit instead of quantity, OA is very generous, it doesn't really have empty spots besides edges. 3 clean outs in a day... sounds like you rush, A LOT. Which also implies dirt lost, remember the pay is also spread in layers, sometimes it's a 10% of the depth where all the gold is, very easy to just get that part deleted and go from super rich hole to "that ♥♥♥♥ didn't cover the fuel you used to dig it".

Single clean out for me on OA, on >hard< can be from 1.5 kg upwards to 2kg of gold or 35 - 70ish oz with t4 and efficiency workers. What you get tells me you are either digging wrong, digging garbage or what you are running is not t3/t4. Things have efficiency, mobile or t2 recovers a single digit % of gold that goes in it. Full t3 with no workers last time I checked was at 48%(I tossed a bucket into shaker and set the gold manually when I was checking things so it's not a guess I manually put my values in to see what happens, or at least I think it was t3...).

I have drilled it out. It's parcel 2. I'm in good dirt. just out of the deep area. each square is showing 180 to over 220 ounces. I went to an old save to see if that was my problem. I've played leader boards for the last 3 seasons. I keep getting stuck at this point. My usual wash plant is 2 cleanups in a game day. i can't fully get 3 done.

should i drill the spots more then once ?
I saw something about that.
I was working with a couple saves. i'm gonna stick with this one and see if it gets any better.
my last season on arnold. i did 1100 ounnces the first. after getting tier 3 the next season i did 486? that was a whole season of mining. it wasn't all great gold but that just doesn't add up to me.

i've never had a bucket have 20 ounces from tier 3 or 4 . So something i'm doing is wrong or i'm really unlucky.
Like i said tho i was digging from the bottom with a front loader. before i went to this old save to
see if that was or is my problem . That one i have under 2000 ounces of gold and i'm almost out of dirt on arnold. I stopped mining it because i won't have the money to move to the next parcel.

Old Arnold has most gold top-mid layers. Not good to digout with front loader.

Just a silly question, you do have miners grill in before the trommel? First time i setup it did not warn me it was missing until I installed and removed them once

^ that too. Make sure you have your grills up or it washes mats. Also I do love loader personally since it's fast, but don't dig entire claim with it... you will get next to nothing from that, or get really good at judging loader scoop parameters, it's not impossible it's just a lot harder. Dirt gets deleted above what you scoop... it doesn't fall anywhere, it's just gone, permanently and irreversibly. Dig top to mid with excavator then scoop up bottom left overs with loaders. If all you do is jam loader against wall of paydirt you lose vast majority of it all.
