Hog Pan/Magnetite/Hog Pan help

Hey everyone, hoping someone can help me understand hog pan use later game.


I'm clearing out all of the hog pan site before I go tier 2. My routine was-
Pay dirt-hog pan-4 full mats into water bucket-panning

Having bought the magnetite and wave table I believe it should be-
Pay Dirt-Magnetite Seperation- hog pan gold-4 mats full into water bucket-Wave table

Is the hog pan just redundant now? Should I be dumping the gold directly from the seperator into the wave table? And also I read somewhere to use "Processed soil", is that the same as pay dirt?

And lastly, when I do reach tier 2,3 and begin large digging operations, is there sill use for the hog pan?

in s2 the hog can go at the bottom of the plant after the jig

your plan is a little backwards. you go hog pan-seperator-gold pan or wave table. and at T3 you put a hog pan at the end of the jig and it cleans the overflow and gets you tiny little bit of extra gold. some say that it fills TOO fast. not sure either way.

It's fixed now, mosses, jigs and mats in hogpan are nearly equally.

To get the most money out of what you mine, its best to run the dirt through the magnetite separator first, before panning, or collecting gold with the wave table. Although its just a bit of bonus cash so its entirely up to you if you want to do this step, you can totally bypass the magnetite separator if you wish. And as stated above, the hogpan can be used after the jig in the T3 washplant

According to the Journal instructions you only need to wash 2 mats per bucket, not 4. I was doing 4 mats per bucket as well then noticed I am probably wasting gold per the instructions showing the two mats.

As for the Hog Pan operation, so far as I can tell each working operation you have allows you to assign an employee to that operation. So I have both the Hogpan and mobile tier 2 op running with an emplyee assigned to one of them until two employees open up.
Then I will assign one to each op as I actualy work one or the other as well.

Employees seem to make gold all the time for me no matter if I am on the same op or not also.
