The hoses are long enoug to reach the edge ofthe digable soil on the arnold claim with one pump.

Don't run when laying down cables and hoses, for some odd reason this shortens the max lenght you can get.

the big metal bin full of water as a source is a confirmed bug and will be patched sooner or later.

thats how i have done it. https://imgur.com/zshWwZn

It can help stretching out pipes etc if you right click once or twice while holding the end so it gets the yellow highlight, then walk backwards or sideways.

you sound as if you think realism is a bug...
to keep the water pressure high enough to wash the paydirt you need multiple pumps otherwise you would just drip drops of water on the paydirt

the lenght limit on the hoses is a feature meaning it's probably not going to be like in the demo because the demo was to showcase the concept of the game not to show you a finished game

Having no way to extend hose is also confirmed. When you finish mining that tiny spot you wont be able to reach deeper in.

You can already extend you water line, as shown in the ingame DigTube.

Filter - Hose - Pump - Hose - Pump - Hose - Machine

" wallyk426 " had mentioned he has only enough money for one pump, thats why I showed how far he could get with one pump. Mining that area earns you enoug to buy more pumps.

So there is no legitimation for the big bin full of water to be used.

water pressure on pumps has nothing to do with the length of the hose, only the difference in altitude and the diameter of the hose. in reality, you'd never want to couple up multiple pumps, not even because of pressure but because if one them breaks, the others essentialy blow it up.

Use the bug, the solution when they add an extender will cost you 30$. I don't see how thats considered cheating..
U most certainly can stretch the hoses. stretch as long as it goes, connect the un connect. move the pump a few meters, then reconnect. do that a couple times. my hose looks like its going on for miles

To pull your hose tight hold your right click. This will reel in the hose where you stand and pull it straight. If you do this while walking towards the other end of the hose, it will coil it up and picks the hose up.

Unless you're moving the mobile wash plant on to the pay dirt area of the starter claim, you only ever need one pump. When setting up the Tier 3 plant I got a single water hose from the creek connected to the washplant without a pump. Of coarse, I installed the pump to move the water, but the point is that one single hose can reach.

This also works for cables.
