Update 2: the latest update fixed the controls, and the game can be completed now, which then unlocks a new game plus mode that wants you to beat each stage within a time limit. There are also skins for your dog, but most of them are found in the DLC that's not worth it. Still, although the game is playable, I recommend it only at a big discount.

Update: In the pre-release version, the game worked until the third stage. There have been several updates since then, and while I hoped to finally be able to finish the game before the full release, that turned out not to be the case. What’s more, the controls are now completely broken, making the game unplayable.

Pre-release review:
A simple and short platformer where everything looks like it was cobbled together using a game creator in one hour. The main hero is Luna the dachshund; the breed is important to the game’s name, since I had no idea that “teckel” is just another word for it. Luna doesn’t have any skills besides jump and double jump, and although there is a run button, it’s used only at the start of each level to toggle the run feature on. Playing without running is slow.

The stages are short and straightforward, with some platforms and enemies you can either remove by jumping on them or dodge when that isn’t possible, like with hedgehogs that sting you. Three hearts mean you can take three hits, and although there’s no invincibility, there are plenty of checkpoints, so you never lose much progress. Another common feature is signposts with amusing messages, but most of it is lost in translation from French. All of the text is voiced, which is a nice addition.

If you want an achievement per stage, you can easily earn it by collecting all the coins. These are either out in the open, hidden behind secret walls marked with a sign, or located in extra stages that can be found in some levels. But all that becomes pointless because the game crashed after the third stage.

Beginner Player Friendly?

I would argue this game is very beginner player friendly. It has a tutorial on what to do, however it is not keyboard compatible and is only able to be played with a controller.

Game Play:

In this doggy game you are searching for your ball. Go through the levels, avoid enemies and defeat bosses to get to your beloved stolen ball.

Graphics:

The graphics are adorable and seem to be very fitting for the game itself. It seems like it would be good for lower end systems. The graphics look hand drawn and I appreciate the design that went into the game’s 2D style.

Community:

This game is unreleased as of the time of writing this review and does not yet have a community to look into.

How long can you play?

So far I have played around 4 levels and defeated a few bosses. This game seems very fast paced and I am not yet sure about how long you can play.

My Opinion:

In my opinion, I really enjoy the game so far. It gives me mario vibes but something a little more calm less colourful (THAT'S NOT A BAD THING). I enjoy the more natural colours that highlight the creatures and the adorable main character. I think if you are looking for a fluffy and adorable doggy platformer this game may be worth trying out.
