2. Telemetry.
Okay...
1. Lot of major and minor bugs, nobody cares about. As result - on non-windows os'es, unity games are mostly unplayable.
2. Telemetry. When you launches any unity game, it "calls home" with a lot of info about you (from anonymous to personal). There is no way to turn it off
Also it uses heretic C#, but I dont think there is someone in this thread, who can understand, why it sux.
Again: I dont wanna start engine holywar. Only to get short answer from devs
1. Missed resources. Example - "Holy Potatoes, A Weapon Shop". Game basically cant load resources on non-windows OSes, cuz of.
2. Missed/bugged gamepad. Example - "Dex". Game doesnt see gamepad or moves aim to top corner. Affects ever your favorite win 10.
3. Terrible perfomance. Example - every non-2D (and lot of 2D, again - dex is example) unity game. Cuz its ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ engine, ever if you will spend years to optimisation. Cuz its C#, which sux for games. Cuz of ♥♥♥♥.
4. Telemetry. ALL unity games collects telemetry, ever if its not listed in game's EULA. Sause:
https://unity3d.com/legal/privacy-policy
And yeah, this thread is.
Telemetry = Nearly every major title does this through similar mediums. Unity does this specifically to ensure that companies don't purchase a single professional license priced for a single hobbyist developer. Reason should be obvious.
I can't tell if you were kicked in the head by a large farm animal before you put these points together, but... whichever one of your friends told you C# was terrible.. go back and ask him to explain what he/she means.. so you won't look like an idiot next time.
god i hate linux people.
