Take and Hold scores

Is anyone else's scores not being posted to the global leaderboard? I can see all my scores on the local leaderboard, but my highest score isn't being posted to the Global leaderboard anymore. This has happened twice to me. I JUST got the newest high score in a certain variant of Take and Hold, but was disappointed to see that it wasnt posted on the Global leaderboard.

@INH, can you show me a screenshot for your Take & Hold lobby settings?

Probably not too helpful but have you tried toggling to different leaderboards and back? Makes my scores show up properly when I do that, but it's more for when no scores get posted at all. (I assume it's a "Grabbing scores from the sever" thing.)

TO double check, you had the Item Spawner disabled tho right?

Correct, I'm positive the spawner was off on this run. Because its been a few days since I took this screenshot, I have changed some of my options around a bit, and played other variations of Take and Hold since then. So I don't have a screenshot of the lobby at the time, only the post game score.

I've had the same thing happen to me. Guess if there's a network hiccup or something it will fail to submit the score and then afterwards it won't ever try to re-send.

I haven't checked in a while, but some of the existing scores are very dubious as well. Of course, there isn't really a limit other than your endurance in endless mode, but on 5-hold the theoretical upper limit should be about 125000 based on the current scoring system - and even that amount is already absurdly unrealistic. 113000 is probably around the highest actually achievable score if you're very skilled and very lucky. But IIRC there's at least one score north of 300000 for 5-hold mode...

That's a boatload of score... Err, what if you did as many joint-breaks and then joint snaps as possible? Think that could bolster the score or is that already taken into consideration?

Yeah, those are already accounted for - doing either a joint break OR joint snap (they're not added up) just gives you 1 extra point in addition to the melee kill point. Even if you killed all sosigs that way instead of just headshotting them it would only give you ~150 extra base score, or 3900 points with the highest difficulty multiplier factored in. A decent chunk, but not worth the effort and risk involved with getting those beyond targets of opportunity.

I'm having this same issue. I did have the Alpha enabled before for the Meatfortress Medigun until the Medigun update was released. After that, I've been on live with item spawner disabled but my score is no longer being submitted to the global boards.

@Trittyburd: can you please email me your output_log.txt file _today_ (before i push an update and the file is auto-wiped). There's debug info in it that could be useful to fixing this. File is in the game's install dir. My email is [e-mail] put "steam score not submitting" in email subject line.
