The QBZ-95 does not seem to work on oculus rift

It does. The fire selector is near the rear of the rifle, and because it is not within the reach of the grip, is not cycled via the joystick. You must use your other hand to click it after touching that controller's interaction sphere to it, and clicking the trigger.
