A thing to suggest, have you got your water cooler running at maximum RPM continually when doing demanding tasks? I have noticed that unless you do this the water cooler takes too long to spool up when you get instantaneous heat spikes and you get momentary high temperature readings I assume it is something to do with the small physical heat sink the water cooler has. I have seen other people reporting the same, and have seen it be recommended to set the cooler to max out its pump RPM (and your case fans while you're at it if you don't mind the noise) continously if you intend to do anything stressing.
So turns out my AIO was dying.
Upgraded to an Arctic Liquid Freezer III today and my temps have been phenomenal.
I'm sitting at about 110F-120F in H3 now. I've tested with other games and my overall performance has been better.
