Leaving a H3MP Mod Compatible Branch?

Hello, H3MP is a mod allowing for multiplayer in H3VR which recently had a patch saying it is the final patch unless someone else decides to pick it up.

This may lead to the mod being broken over time as updates come in, would it be possible to leave an H3MP compatible branch of the current version people can opt into, allowing H3MP to continue to be used even if the latest version breaks it? I've grown to really enjoy the mod and I would be very sad to see it go.

The Betas tab under properties in Steam already keeps an available branch for every numbered version of the game going back to U110 (there isn't one for U115 as that was just Meatmas if memory serves).

Index server I think was shut down as the dev abandoned the project recently - hosting your own and having your friends join via ip/port still works though.
