thunderstore does a lot of stuff that the steam workshop just can't.
mods are also not officially supported.

it's the difference between putting a new paintjob on a car and switching out its engine.

No. It will not ever get workshop mod support. The mod community runs its own ship through Thunderstore. Even if the exact same mods were hosted on Steam, the overall complexity of selecting and activating them correctly would be the same. You are not losing anything by having them external to this platform.

Like what? I am unfamiliar with the thunderstore. Also are mod io and the thunderstore related in any way? I often see them being mentioned together. I am unfamiliar with either.

You can't upload .dll's to the Steam Workshop, for one.

ModIO and Thunderstore are not related to my knowledge.

1) go to: https://r2modman.net
2) download and install R2modman
3) set the game as H3VR and make a profile
4) browse and download mods
5) launch H3VR from R2modman to play with mods OR launch H3VR from Steam to play un-modded.
It's a very simple system once you get it running and you can easily set up different profiles for different modding experiences.

I don't think that's an official website, the only places to get R2ModMan is either its thunderstore page, or from the releases section on the github repo. Also GaleModManager [github.com] is a new mod manager that's basically a better version of R2ModMan
you said it yoyurself
even a toddler can figure out how to use Thunderstore by themselves, it's as easy as the workshop to use

The site seems ""legit""(there is a download on the site) ig but saver bet would just get it via Thunderstore also wouldn't download the Thunderstore mod manager either as r2modman is legit the same thing but without ads....oh and Overwolf's stuff bloats your system very quick so using r2modman also bypass's that im pretty sure. Honestly wish it was hosted on nexus but hey old habits die hard..........
