Performance help request
Hey there meats,
I have recently purchased h3vr and am experiencing extreme frame stuttering every 30 seconds, give or take. I am running an rtx3060 with an i5-12500 and 32GBddr4. My headset is a quest 3 running by link Cable. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Couple things to double check:
- Make sure you're running at 90 fps, not 72 or 120.
- Do you have any Case RGB stuff (or an RGB keyboard). If so try disabling it. The firmware of that stuff is super poorly written and can cause VR hardware to stall.

I...I just realized that I've been running at 120 for months, and that's about the time that I started to notice weird stuttering. I just assumed I needed to reinstall windows, since my current install is INCREDIBLY OLD.

There have probably been a dozen opportunities for me to read that H3VR shouldn't run above 90, but I guess I just hadn't seen any of them.

The weird thing is, I don't actually remember switching to 120, but I can't imagine that setting could ever turn itself on. I'm pretty sure you have to click through a "this is not a standard feature" dialog in order to activate it.

First make sure you install the game on a INTERNAL storage device like a SSD,
External hard drives works, but cause performance issues.

Secondly, it could be the cord itself, assuming you're using a Third-party cable. As much as i don't like buying cables from Meta, it's a safer option than relying on Third-party manufacturers from Amazon, as their quality are often... meh.
