Hands completely stuck in floor when starting game.
Hello everyone, I have encountered this weird problem only in H3VR. When I start the game and load in to the menu, my hands are stuck to the floor and I can't move hem, this problem only occurs in this game which I find weird, when I press the steam home menu button my controllers pop up and I can use them without any issue. Does someone know how to fix this issue or know what causes it to not work properly? Btw I am using a pico 4 headset if that makes troubleshooting easier.

Are you using VR Perf Kit? (It's incompatible with H3VR.)

Hands stuck in floor is a general 'initialization failure'. If I can see your output_log.txt file, in the game's data directory, I can tell you what's erroring. Could be like a dozen different things.

Where exactly do I find this file? Is it in the "h3vr_data" folder or in a specific subfolder in the "h3vr_data" folder?

Looks like you have a 'No Action Manifest' error. Have you moved the location of the game manually (like dragging it to the new location/new hard drive, in explorer, like from a backup?)

I have reinstalled the game to a new drive and tried to play and then reinstall it back to the original drive. Is the "no action manifest" error fixable?

Try this:

Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\config

Look for steamapps.vrmanifest

Open it is Notepad (specifically)

Look for H3 ("steam.app.450540",)

See if the "action_manifest_path" key is pointing to the correct location of H3's actions.json. For me this looks like:

"action_manifest_path": "C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Steam\\steamapps\\common\\H3VR\\actions.json",

It does show the correct path, however I noticed that "controller_type" says knuckles, which I don't use. I use the original controllers from the pico 4.

try deleting the entire entry for it then? Uninstall the game first. THen reboot, reinstall the game, see if it populates the manifest correctly?

If that fails, you may need to reinstall Steam.

So I reinstalled the game and rebooted the computer, and today when I started it again the game worked as intended, yay! Thanks for all the help, very much appreciated.
