I went into Controller settings and watched where it registered the thumbstick position, and it just didn't register all the way forward.
Sometimes you can blow them out to get them working again, but in my experience you'll just need to get it replaced.
The problem is most thumbsticks use potentiometers to register their positions, and the contacts can wear out over time, resulting in spotty detection. Forward is the most used direction on thumbsticks, generally, so it's usually the first to wear out.
There was an app that you could use to set thresholds and deadzones for the Rift CV1 touch controllers, but I don't think it works for the Quest 2 controllers, unfortunately.
In the meantime, might it be possible to swap which hand is movement and which is turning?
I doubt a controller would only be broken on one specific game
I'm not sure if it's available with Touch Controllers, but for my Index Knuckles this is how you get to the testing:
Start SteamVR, go to Settings, Devices, Controller Settings, and then select "Test Controller". See how the thumbstick is responding.
