Eject individual bullets from a revolver
Is there a way to take out only the bullets that have been fired? Say I shoot a couple rounds then want to replace those with new ones, is there a way to remove only those fired rounds?

i don't believe there is a way currently (besides the ones that use a loading gate where the empty casings can be removed). there might be a mod for it somewhere but mods can sometimes break games.

Revolvers and such are only meant to spin one way. If the notches allowed for them to spin either way, it'd cause a lot of problems, mainly revolving the wrong way and you pulling the trigger on an empty casing

Short Answer: No, you can't really, so just count your shots and be methodical with your revolvers
Long Answer: Revolver design doesn't allow for it (I'm sure a gunsmith can tell you more as to the why)

I don't think there's any particular reason that cylinder rotation would be relevant. I'm pretty sure most revolvers with a swing-out cylinder would allow you to "pick out" individual fired brass, but to my knowledge that's not common practice.

As SCPF03 suggests, revolvers with a loading gate would allow you to punch out fired brass, if you were keeping track of which cylinders had empties in them.

I'm already aware the old revolvers have the loading gate. I think it might be a simple thing to add by just having small interaction spheres on the bullets so you can pull out the empty bullets. It bugs me that if I fire one or two rounds and want to top up I have to empty all the bullets on the floor.

Personally, I like Receiver's method, where if you're holding "grab" while you eject, any unspent rounds are collected into your grabbing hand while spent brass falls to the floor.

I can only imagine that you either place your thumb over the rounds you wish to keep, and then dump the rest of them out via gravity. That assumes that none of the cases expanded during firing, and need to be extracted with the normal ejector rod. In that case I presume you could just push the rod part way, and then pull the spent rounds out. Both ways are rather fiddly. In fact, depending on how common it is that fired rounds won't fall out of the chambers, it might be easier to tip all the unfired rounds out into your hand, then eject the fired ones with the ejector, and then do a full reload as normal.

It seems like a simple enough thing, but remember that you're talking about 5-8 very small interaction points in extreme proximity. Even if it were added, would it even be reliable? Especially when you're talking about a game where most modes feature unlimited ammo, there's frequently little advantage to this.

^ this.

Even on limited ammo T&H runs, it's trivial to carry enough rounds for that not to be a bother.
If it really bothers you to drop (free, unlimitedly spawnable) rounds on the floor, you could always make sure you fire them all, switching to a different weapon when needed, and reload in the downtime between waves.

Was also thinking of something like that.
